Foss plane : - )

This is a picture if my cousin building the Foss plane. It was very easy but hard at times, the materials you need to build the plane are propeller, 2 craft sticks 3 straws and rubber band to make it go but most importantly you need string to fly your plane. What we did to experiment the was was to wind up the rubber band while the plane was on the string and you counted the number of times you winded the rubber band and then let it go. After the experiment we learned that the thicker the rubber band the less winds it takes to make it go all the way.We also learned that it does not take the exact amount of half of the number that it took the plane to fly across the string it take more because it needs a few winds to get started for example if the plane took 30 winds to get across it would take 20 winds to get half way! The experiment was really fun and i learned alot about varibles!
